Since the beginning of my career at AFOS over 10 years ago in the Service department, I have progressed in the business and become a large part to how the company has grown and evolved into the business we have today.

Now, as Director I have a great feeling of self-achievement, from a single mum not having two pennies to rub together and now part owning my own business!

I work alongside a great team of Directors and we continue to strive as a business and look to grow continually.

Positive attitudes, great employees, teamwork and our passion for what we do, all helps to face challenges and enjoy working together as a team.

I have worked here at AFOS for 26 years, I came as a temp for one week and have never left! I am presently the longest serving member of the company.

Over the years there has been many changes, my role has changed considerably over this time.

I have seen many changes over the years, the team we have now is a very friendly, dedicated and supportive one, which I am pleased to say I am part of.

I have been with AFOS for 5 years and love working for a company with a real family-feel. Working in the Servicing department, I enjoy the challenge of looking after our clients after-sales and maintenance requirements and I aim to make each customer feel valued and looked after. The office environment is always buzzing with light-hearted banter and a positive team spirit making it a lovely place to work.

Being new to the company I am really enjoying learning about body storage and dissection benches. 

I am looking forward to progressing and furthering my career and knowledge within the company

I have been with AFOS for 10 years now – I came on a temporary contract and never left!  My role has developed and grown over my time here and the training has matched my development.  The company is friendly and supportive, both of which lead to a happy place to work.

I have been at AFOS for over 5 years now. I love the variety of work my role offers, from being able to travel to different sites and see our machines in action to shipping parts all over the world. This job truly keeps me on my toes.

I have worked for AFOS for the last 5 years and throughout my time here I have enjoyed and relished the variety and diversity of the job. 

Working between two sectors ensures no two days are the same.

I started working at AFOS just over a year ago now and in my short time being with the company I have learnt so much and already feel apart of the team.

When I first started at AFOS they said, “you spend more time at work then you do at home so why be miserable” and they really mean that here, it is such a fun and exciting place to work that it makes me want to work hard and put pride in my work.

I am looking forward to seeing how far I can grow with AFOS!

I enjoy the variety of work I am able to do on a daily basis. AFOS is supporting me in pursuing further qualifications to improve my skills and further my career. 

I love that AFOS trains you to work independently on-site, problem solving and thinking on my feet really help improve my skills and confidence.

The support and training I have received at AFOS has grown my confidence massively which is good as the first project I worked on was the install of the biggest smoking kiln we produce – nothing like learning on the job!

I am currently completing my Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Engineering here at AFOS. 

I love learning how things go together and how to make them work. AFOS has provided me the opportunity to learn about a variety of equipment while working with some amazing people.

AFOS has offered me opportunities that I will be forever grateful for.  Through my time at AFOS I have travelled around the world, both on my tools as an Engineer and now in my role as Director. In addition to this I also have the pleasure of working with a dynamic and enthusiastic team whos insight into the work that we do will ensure we remain leaders within our fields.

As the ‘newbie’ to the team I have been welcomed into the AFOS company and look forward to being part of a group of people who are both dedicated and passionate about maintaining the highest quality of equipment into both the Food and the Medical sectors.  I look forward to the challenges ahead and the opportunity to be at the top of my game.

I came into this role directly from University and the ‘on tap’ support that I have and continue to receive has made this transition smoother and much more manageable.  I have been given the opportunity to run my own projects from start to finish and the environment that I work in supports the quote that ‘there is not such thing as a silly question’ and this has increased my confidence 10 fold and I relish the opportunities in front of me.
